BAIL BONDING AND BOUNTY HUNTING IN POPULAR CULTURE (CONTD)

Hello beautiful people, hope you are getting the best of the holidays. We wish you a merry, memorable and fun-filled Christmas. Here at Stingray bail bonds, not only are we committed to making your life as easy as we can, we are also committed to making it an interesting one. So in that note, and in the spirit of Christmas, we will continue our talk on bail bonding and bounty hunting in popular culture.

A Dangerous Profession

With Hollywood bail bond movies, it’s always about bounty hunters. This is not difficult to understand, bounty hunters perfectly fit the template of tough, resilient, relentless and macho men, which Hollywood loves to portray. Everyone loves a good superhero story, and you won’t blame these filmmakers for trying to come up with just the type of stories people love.

This movie is, as it usually is, a mixture of romance and action. A bail bond agent, Vince Kane, who is still in love with his ex-girlfriend, Lucy, a woman whose outlaw husband is in jail, Lucy begs Kane to help her raise money to release the incarcerated husband, Brackett. Our lovesick bail agent agrees to raise this money against his partner’s advice, his partner thinks, and rightly so, that he’s crazy for trying to raise the money. He goes on and raises the money anyways. However, in a twist, the lady’s husband, Brackett is killed when he jumps bail. Our bail agent takes it upon himself to find the murderers. As he goes on his quest, he faces opposition from people who do not want him to investigate the murder, he also meets another detective, a very grizzled fellow, if ever there was one, who is also looking for the same criminals.

One for The Money.

This is another Hollywood classical bail Bond bounty Hunter movie. Only this time, our hero is female, as against the stereotypical portrayal of the male as the bounty Hunter. This movie is based on the book, “One for The Money” by Janet Eivanovich.

Feisty Stephanie Plum, from New Jersey is broke and in search of a job. Haven soldiered through six months of unemployment and very broke, she seems to have reached the end of her endurance. In desperation, she convinces her cousin to hire her in his bail bond company as a bounty Hunter, although she has absolutely no experience in this field. Her first job was to bring in a bail jumper Joe Morelli, who also happened to be her high school lover, and the person who seduced her and dumped her after he dis-virgins her. Joe Morelli was a former cop, wanted in suspicion of murder. She tracks Morelli down initially, but he slips away from her grasp. In the course of the chase, she faces different kinds of difficulties, from her family, and the fact that her witnesses kept getting killed. She also gets her lessons on bounty hunting from a mysterious ranger. Stephanie finally catches up with Morelli, but discovers that the case against him does not add up, and also discovers, that their dormant feelings may be building up again. So, beautiful people, this brings us to the end of this week’s discussion, we continue to wish you the very best of this festive season. Remember, if you ever find yourself or your loved one in a less than optimal situation, we are always at your service. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!
